Class Licences

What is a class licence?

A class licence allows for users to provide services under the terms of such licence, without the need to be individually licensed or informing the Authority that it is operating under the licence.

Telecommunications class licences are published below for information. 

A Class Licence to run Telecommunications Systems for the provision of in-flight connectivity in the Isle of Man was issued 21/01/2019.

A Class Licence was issued for the running of branch telecommunications systems in 1997, which was modified in 2002.

Part of this relates to Privacy of Messages and recording of telephone conversations. An explanatory note relating to this has been issued.
