BBC Radio Stations in the IOM: Technical Issues on 21st July 2023

The Authority has been made aware that BBC Radio Channels may not be working for listeners. We have investigated this matter and have been made aware that there is an ongoing issue with the main transmitter located in Sansdale, Cumbria.

Unfortunately, the BBC's back up transmitter has also failed. The main (and back up) transmitters are currently being examined by the local electricity board. 

The Authority is unable to provide a time as to when the faults will be fixed, and normal service resumed. 

In the meantime Manx Radio, 3FM and Energy FM radio stations are all currently operational as is BBC Sounds. 

The Authority will provide a further update in due course.
